One Dead, Two Hurt In Rexton Crash

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Rexton.

RCMP and the Rexton Fire Department were called to Main Street in the village around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday (November 10).

Police say a 29-year-old woman from Elsipogtog First Nation died at the scene.

A man and woman in their 30s from Richibucto-Village were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Mounties believe the vehicle left the road, hit a tree and rolled over.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting in the investigation.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the woman’s cause of death.
