ONB Investment Helps Maritime Door and Window Expand, Creating 6 Jobs

Maritime Door and Window in Moncton is launching a $150,000 capital expansion, and will be creating six new jobs.

President and CEO Mike Mann says $52,900 non-repayable contribution from Opportunities New Brunswick is helping them upgrade their Enterprise Resource Planning software system.

He says the ERP software is basically the life blood of their organization.

“From a customer standpoint, bringing them in from a quoting start, to order fulfillment, to production planning, to purchasing the raw materials, to getting down to the delivery and the service of that product once it gets into the field,” explains Mann. “It drives the entire bus around here.”

Mann says this project is expected to get underway January 1st, 2019, with those six new positions being added after that.

They currently employ 54 people, and have grown from their origins as solely a manufacturer, to a retailer and service provider.

New Brunswick Finance Minister Cathy Rogers said she was proud to be on hand to announce the funding from Opportunities New Brunswick, adding it is estimated to provide an excellent return on investment.

ONB estimates show the newly created jobs would contribute $555,000 to the province’s GDP on an annual basis, and would generate $60,000 in provincial taxes over the same period.
