That’s the theme for Investor Education Month which runs throughout October.
New Brunswick’s Financial and Consumer Services Commission will be sending out investment tips through social media all month long.
FCNB spokesperson Erin King says when thinking about investing, always keep one main principal in mind…
“An informed investor always does their research and they understand how the investment works before committing any of their hard earned money,” she says.
If using a professional, King notes make sure they are registered.
And she adds always avoid get-rich-quick schemes and keep in mind that no investment is risk-free.
