St-Paul-de-Kent, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Maillet, 81, on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent, NB.
Born in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Amédée and the late Délia (Caissie) Maillet.
Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a carpenter. Robert was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Geneva (Bastarache) Maillet; by his daughter, Diane LeBlanc (Edgar) of Ste-Anne-de-Kent; by his son, Jerry Maillet (Lisa) of Leominster, Mass; by his grandchildren: Simon (Isabelle), Samatha (Sylvain), J.J., Jeremy and Jaclyn; by his great grandchildren: Madison and Mia; by his sisters: Alma LeFort (late Lionel) of Moncton, Cécile Maillet of Bouctouche, Sr. Rose-Mai LeBlanc, n.d.s.c. of Moncton and Maria Comeau (Danny) of Bouctouche; by his brothers: Alphonse Maillet (Gisèle) of Moncton and Gérard Maillet (Docile) of Rogersville, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Imelda and by his brothers: George, Vincent and Edmond.
Visitation will be held from Ste-Anne-de-Kent RC Church, on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, from 2 pm to 3:45 pm, followed by the funeral in the church at 4 pm.
Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery in the spring of 2026.
