We sadly announce the sudden death of Bob Betts on March 25, 2026, at his home. Born in Sydney, NS, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Lois (nee Beck) Betts.
Bob was sales manager at Eaton’s and later drove a taxi for 20 years. He enjoyed bowling, hockey, fishing, and going to dances. He will be remembered for his quick wit and great laugh. “What we keep in memory is ours forever”.
He will be missed by sons Lance and Wade, sisters Jannett (Jim) and Cheryl, and nephew Scott. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Phyllis “May” (nee Lewis) and brother Gerald.
He will miss the laughter and fun he had playing darts and other activities he had. He will also miss all the friends he made; you know who you are. Love you all. I will see you on the other side. Love you Lance and Wade. Take care of each other. I will see you someday.
Bob’s family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 4-6pm at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (506-869-2007). Donations made to the Salvation Army, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
