1932 ~ 2026
Phyllis Turbide of Miramichi (formerly of Baie-Sainte-Anne), passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12th, 2026, at the Losier Hall in Miramichi at the age of 93.
Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne on July 27th, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Wright Gibbs and the late Imelda (Schofield) Gibbs.
She will be sadly missed by her four sons: Pierre (Barbara Durelle) of Baie-Sainte-Anne, Gaston (Johanne Sirois) of Sept-Iles, Camille and Paul both of Baie-Sainte-Anne; her daughter, Julie Boudreau (Marcel) of Baie-Sainte-Anne; her five grandchildren: Jean-Pierre Turbide (Amy), Britanny Munn (Scott), Tina Miller (Adam), Lise Boudreau and Sophie Babineau (Mathieux); her seven great grandchildren: Alexia, Maxime, Caleb, Liam, William, Annie and Eloise; her sister, Dorita (Bill) Rushworth of Miramichi; her brother-in-law, Paul Bray; her two sisters-in-laws: Francoise Viger and Doreen Martin-Gibbs; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arsène Turbide (2023); her four sisters: Lorraine (Alderic), Astrid (Kenneth), Mildred, and Julienne; and by her four brothers: Walter (Rita), Fernand, Willie, and Lionel.
Visitation will be held from the Sainte-Anne Parish Slumber Room, Baie-Sainte-Anne, on Thursday, March 19th, from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, March 20th, from 8:30 am to 9:45 am. Funeral mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne Church, Baie-Sainte-Anne, on Friday, March 20th, at 10 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
