1930 – 2026


Pauline Steeves of Moncton passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the age of 96.

Born in Hillsborough, NB, she was the daughter of the late Bliss and Stella (Fairweather) Berry. Pauline was a devoted member of Jones Lake Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Joanna Billark of Orillia, ON, Beverly Babcock of Moncton, Donna Ruel (Pierre) of Riverview, and Cheryl Strilchuk of Brantford, ON; her sons, Austin (Peggy) of Summerside, PE, Gary (Nettie) of Hillsborough, Michael (Rhonda) of Riverview, Gregory (Arlene) of Caledonia, ON, and Brian (Lori) of Riverview; as well as her special nieces, Patricia Lambert and Karen MacGregor. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Pauline was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Austin F. Steeves, in 1984; her brother, Donald Berry; and her sister, Shirley Estabrooks.

Visitation will be held at Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview (506-857-9544), on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at Fergusons Riverview Community Chapel on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Dave Hodder officiating.

Interment will take place in the spring at Grey’s Island Cemetery.

Donations in Pauline’s memory made to the Moncton SPCA or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
