Over 1300 COVID-19 tests have been done in Prince Edward Island over the past three days, but they had no new cases to report today.
Chief medical officer of Health Dr. Heather Morrison says there are currently nine active cases.
That includes the two cases, a health care worker and a woman in her 80’s, reported out of Queen Elizabeth Hospital earlier this week.
Dr. Morrison says around 500 staff from the hospital have been tested, and efforts have been made to get in touch with everyone identified through contact tracing.
A second round of testing is expected to start on July 18th.
