No injuries reported following Moncton house fire

Passersby spotted a duplex under renovations on Moncton’s Broadview Avenue on fire over the weekend.

Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Mike Lake says the call came in around 9 p.m. Saturday with fire and smoke coming out of the top floor of the duplex.

Firefighters extinguished the flames within an hour with four engines on the scene, he said.

Lake notes that fire officials and RCMP continue to investigate.

He said there were no occupants inside the house at the time of the fire.
