No Injuries Following Moncton Trailer Fire

Nobody was injured after a Wednesday morning fire involving a freight trailer.

The Moncton Fire Department responded to the blaze on Beaverbrook Street shortly after 1 a.m.

Acting Platoon Chief Serge Boudreau said crews discovered smoke coming out from the back door of the trailer.

“We opened up the door and we found a gentleman that was looking for shelter and decided to do a bonfire inside the trailer to keep warm,” he said.

Boudreau said Codiac RCMP, who also responded to the scene, took care of the man while crews put out the flames.

It is not known if Mounties pressed charges on the man.
