New Waste Collection Schedule In Effect For Moncton

Hub City’s new Waste Collection Schedule went into effect last night.

The City moved to a three night, four day schedule instead of the previous five night, two day collection.

The changes are necessary to optimize collection to better manage municipal growth, according to Don Morehouse, Director of Public works.

He says the changes allow for greater flexibility in the event of changes to the service due to weather or equipment breakdown.

Not everyone will be affected by the changes, says Morehouse, and if you are subject to change, a letter with your municipal water bill will explain them to you.

If you have any further questions, you should call the City’s 24 hour dispatch line at 859 – 2643 or check online at the city website www.moncton.ca
