New Petitcodiac health centre should be ready in 2026

A new and improved community health centre in Petitcodiac should be ready in early 2026.

The current facility on Railway Street is being replaced with a larger and more modern space.

Provincial officials said Tuesday that the $21-million project is currently in the design phase.

Tenders are expected to be issued this fall, with construction scheduled to start in early 2025.

According to the province, the centre will house administration, nursing resources, medical services and allied health services.

The new facility will adopt the collaborative care model outlined in the recently released primary health care action plan.
