Now the election is over, the hard work can begin for MP Elect Ginette Petitpas-Taylor.
She says while she and her staff will be travelling to Ottawa very shortly to get her MP orientation, they have a few administrative things to take care of here first.
“The first thing at this point in time is to really get our office set up and to hire some staff to ensure we can start the work that needs to get done in this riding, so that’s certainly a priority, ” she notes.
After that, she is off to Ottawa, for what she calls MP School, “The orientation session in Ottawa will help prepare us for the work ahead in the coming months.”
Petitpas-Taylor says she’s looking forward to representing the people in Ottawa, and recommits to her campaign pledge to be accessible, and available as much as possible to her constituents.
