New Moncton High To Officially Open In January

Although the new Moncton High School in Royal Oaks wasn’t ready this fall, the Superintendent of the Anglophone East School District says the school will be ready for staff and students early in the new year.

Gregg Ingersoll says the move-in period will be the end of January… the start of the second semester.

He says, “The exams will take place first and then once they are completed, the staff will make the move into the school, and the students will start their second semester in the new school.”

Ingersoll says the main delay this fall had been laying down wood floors in the two new gymnasiums which is now underway and should be completed soon.

He adds custodians are already in the new school preparing for the furniture and equipment to be delivered next week.
