New Moncton Building Becomes Even Larger

An architecturally distinct 8-storey building is expected to join the Moncton skyline behind City Hall by the fall of 2018.

Known as Five-Five Queen, the complex will be composed of condos, a boutique hotel and the Gahan House brew-pub restaurant.

Developer Bill Hennessey says the site is being cleared but construction won’t start until the spring.

Hennessey says the building now has 25 percent more square footage on each floor than originally planned after a decision to add a grand entrance to the hotel.

He believes the building will be unique for Moncton and even New Brunswick and will generate more new development around it.
