New Bus For Veterans In Greater Moncton

Veterans in the Greater Moncton area are going to ride in style after the purchase of a new bus.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6 Bus Committee Vice Chair Keith Brewer says they had to replace their 17-year old bus, because it was becoming expensive to maintain.

He says they fundraised from all the area Legion branches to come up with the almost $100,000 cost.

“This bus has got all the bells and whistles you could possibly think of,” says Brewer. “It’s got a backup camera, it’s got a chair lift that’s automatic with all the modern safety features, we got the extra strength straps to hold the wheelchairs in place.”
