The Department of Energy and Resource Development says the group met for a pre-deployment briefing on Wednesday afternoon at the Provincial Forest Fire Centre before leaving from the Fredericton airport in the evening.

The crew arrived in Edmonton late Wednesday night and will be sent to the Slave Lake area for a 14-day rotation.
