Cooperation was the focus of Premier Gallant’s state of the province address.
Repeatedly throughout his speech he emphasized the entire province working together to come up with innovative ways to save money, grow the economy and create jobs.
He said everyone has to work together to create jobs, not just the government.
He says, “Let’s get away from the thinking that the government creates jobs. We don’t create jobs, we need to create the conditions, we need to create the environment for jobs to be created by the Enterpreneurs, by New Brunswickers, by businesses, by their ideas by their Entrpreneurial spirit and by their hard work.”
Gallant added the province needs to face its challenges head on and not sweep problems under the rug.
He added his government would invest in education, and both traditional and emerging industries.
