NB Power crews are working to restore power to those impacted by this latest nor’easter.
About 2,500 customers remain without electricity as of 2:30 p.m.
Spokesperson Marie-Andrée Bolduc says that’s down from a peak of 5,800 customers early this morning.
“We’ve got about 60 crews scattered everywhere in the province responding as necessary,” says Bolduc. “We’ve had great progress overnight but the roads and snow conditions have been quite challenging for our crews, so they’re working as fast as possible.”
Bolduc says most of the outages are being caused by lines touching one another and trees making contact with lines.

“If you see some crews on streets, give them enough space to work and slow down,” she says. “If you see any power lines that have been downed, please stay at a safe distance.”
