A lot of doom and gloom has come New Brunswick’s way recently but there is some positive news when it comes to population.
After population decreases throughout most of last year, New Brunswick actually gained people during the first estimate of 2016.
Stats Canada reports the province had a population estimated at 754,735 on January 1st, a gain of 571 people from the last estimate on October 1st.
Yukon was the only province or territory that saw a decline.
And Canada’s population has officially surpassed 36 million people with most of that growth from international migration.
