NB MP’s Re-Election Bid Gets A Boost

A good turnout in Quispamsis for a Liberal rally in Quispamsis in support of Fundy Royal MP Alaina Lockhart with a special guest, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The PM told the crowd he doesn’t know anyone in caucus who works harder or who is more connected to her community.

“Who is more of a strong voice for rural issues, for small business, for tourism and passionate for her community and everything it stands for,” Trudeau said.

Our newsroom asked her if it will be harder to win this time.

“You know what, every election is different. My experience prior to 2015 was in a municipal capacity. I’m excited to go into 2019.
I feel we have a great record to show people.” Lockhart said.

It wasn’t all roses with a small protest by a few members of the Canadian Union Of Postal Workers who turned their back to the Prime Minister while he spoke.
