Minister Says Too Early To Predict COVID-19 Impact On NB Tourism

Tourism is just one of the many industries that will be hit hard by COVID-19.

But the Minister for Tourism, Heritage and Culture Bruce Fitch says at this point it is still too early to know the complete picture of the potential impact.

In a statement, he adds the evolution of the COVID-19 crisis in the coming weeks is critical, but it is still too early to know if attractions or parks will remain closed for part of the summer.

Fitch says the provincial and federal governments, along with other partners are working together to ensure all impacted workers are given the appropriate assistance.
