NB Lieutenant Governor Sworn In

New Brunswick’s newest Lieutenant Governor is getting to work.

Brenda Murphy was sworn in yesterday in Grand Bay.

She replaces Jocelyne Roy Vienneau, who passed away on August 2nd after a battle with cancer.

Murphy served three terms as a municipal councillor for the town of Grand Bay-Westfield and was also nominated a member of the Gender Equality Network Canada.

She was also a member of the National Advisory Council on Poverty and the New Brunswick Advisory Council on the Status of Women.

She is New Brunswick’s 32nd Lieutenant Governor.
