NB Liberal Leader Says His Party Won’t Support Budget

New Brunswickers could be headed to the provincial polls in the near future if the Liberal Leader has his way.

Speaking outside the Legislature yesterday, Kevin Vickers told Reporters, his party will not support the budget when it is released next month, “Given the gross incompetence, shown by this government over the last week, I was totally blown away by Premier Higgs admission that he failed to ask critical questions(in healthcare reforms).”

This comes after healthcare reforms caused significant backlash last week. Premier Higgs backed away from the plan on Sunday, stating that more consulting needed to be done.

Vickers says, “As a young boy, my father taught me, when you mess up, you fess up. What did Premier Higgs do? He blamed others for the mistake of his decision and his actions by throwing bureaucrats under the bus.”

The provincial budget will be handed down on March 10th.
