UPDATE: Interrupter Clause Kicks In On Diesel and Furnace Oil Prices

If you need diesel or furnace oil today, you’re in for a bit of a shock.

Because of market price fluctuations in those two products yesterday, the interrupter clause by the Energy and Utilities Board kicked in.

Both products jumped by 8.2 cents overnight.

The price of gasoline didn’t change.

This is due to market uncertainty from that drone attack on the Saudi production facility last week.

Meantime, the EUB is set to make its weekly price adjustment at midnight tonight.

Energy analyst Dan McTeague believes gasoline will rise by half-a-cent per litre this week in the province.
