NB could be in for warmer fall

MONCTON, N.B. – Accuweather is predicting that New Brunswick will enjoy above normal temperatures and precipitation this fall.

Meteorologist Brett Anderson says the warm sea-surface temperatures surrounding Atlantic Canada will be a big factor this autumn.

“Sea-surface temperatures have been averaging 3 to 4 degrees Celsius above normal this summer. We don’t expect that to change anytime soon.”

Although it has been a quiet Atlantic hurricane season so far, Anderson expects at least one tropical-like system could impact Atlantic Canada sometime in September.
