Natural gas leak in Caledonia Industrial Park

Emergency crews are on scene in the Caledonia Industrial Park after a natural gas line was cut.

Moncton fire crews were called to Frenette Avenue just before 1 p.m. Friday.

Platoon Chief Mike Lake said Liberty Gas is on the scene trying to close off the lines.

Lake told our newsroom that one business has been evacuated as a result.

Frenette Avenue is closed to all traffic. Officials said it could be several hours before it reopens due to the size of the gas line.
