Name For New North End Middle School Announced

A new middle school for Moncton’s north end has a name.

It will be called Maplehurst Middle School.

Anglophone East officials made the announcement to a group of students at Northrop Frye yesterday.

The school will hold around 700 grade 6 to 8 students.

It is is currently under construction at Maplehurst Drive and Teaberry Avenue and it is expected to open sometime during the 2019-2020 school year.

Evergreen Park and Northrop Frye will transition to kindergarten to grade 5 schools once the new facility opens.
