N.B.’s top doctor set to step away this fall

A key navigator in New Brunswick’s response to COVID-19 is stepping away from the position.

Dr. Jennifer Russell is resigning as chief medical officer of health sometime this fall.

Reports indicate she is interested in running for president-elect of the Canadian Medical Association.

Russell has been the top doctor in the province for about eight years.
