A 21‑year‑old man from Hanwell, New Brunswick, has died following a single‑vehicle crash on Highway 118 near Fall River, north of Halifax.
RCMP said emergency crews were called to the scene at about 3:10 p.m. on Friday.
Police said a Hyundai Accent was travelling south when it left the road and went into the ditch.
The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the RCMP.
Mounties said a collision reconstructionist attended the site, and the investigation is ongoing.
The RCMP stated that Highway 118 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
