The Atlantic Provinces Economic Council recently held meetings in Saint John and talked about the future of the region.
Spokesperson Fred Bergman says this province does not appear to be looking at much headway for 2019.
“In 2019, New Brunswick’s real GDP will grow by about 1.1 per cent,” Bergman said. “However, we’re seeing soft growth in employment this year, and we’re predicting that’s going to continue into next year.”

New Brunswick’s GDP growth will be the second-lowest in Atlantic Canada in 2019.
