Rain, wind and snow in N.B.

High winds, heavy rain and snow for some regions of the province.

It was a wacky weather day for parts of the province, primarily to the south and southeast.

Environment Canada has released some preliminary rainfall amounts from Sunday.

The highest amount was in Fundy National Park, where 49 millimetres fell.

Saint John and Sussex received 44 millimetres, and Moncton got 39 millimetres.

Temperatures dipped low enough in the afternoon in the Sussex and Fundy regions, where snow blanketed the ground.

The Confederation Bridge was forced to close to all vehicles for a few hours early Monday morning due to high winds.

Gusts of around 115 kilometres per hour were registered at around 4 am.
