A pioneer and leader in New Brunswick’s ICT sector for more than 45 years has died.
Gerry Pond was known as an entrepreneurship champion in the province.
He passed away on Wednesday at the age of 82.
Premier Susan Holt expressed her condolences on social media, stating that Pond was the CEO of NBTel and co-founded several ICT powerhouses in the province.
Pond was also a recipient of the Order of New Brunswick and the Order of Canada.
