Elections NB has begun recounting ballots after municipal results were released on May 25th.
Bettina Moores and Blair Lawrence, who were both candidates in Moncton’s Ward 2, put in a request.
Moores was just eight votes short of Daniel Bourgeois who was one of two Councillors elected.
Lawrence received 16 votes less than Moores.
Those recounts began Tuesday afternoon.
Candidates who are not elected can request a recount if there is a difference of 25 votes or less.
