Three people were arrested in Saint-Anne-de-Kent after Mounties seized firearms and drugs as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
New Brunswick RCMP said members executed a search warrant at a Grattan Road residence on March 3.
During the search, police found quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine pills, oxycodone pills, hydromorphone pills and a number of assorted prescription pills.
“Police also seized a loaded and unsecured firearm in plain sight, a replica handgun, money and drug trafficking paraphernalia including several digital scales,” states an RCMP news release.
A 43-year-old man and 45-year-old woman both from Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, as well as a 46-year-old man from Saint-Louis-De Kent, were arrested without incident and later released.
Mounties said all three are scheduled to appear in court at 9:30 a.m. on May 13.
The investigation included resources from the Provincial Crime Reduction Unit, which includes police officers from the New Brunswick RCMP and Fredericton Police Force.
In addition, members of the Tracadie RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Services assisted with the search.
