RCMP releasing details of an investigation into an incident involving a firearm on the Woodstock First Nation.
According to the Mounties, at one point the suspect pointed a rifle at police who in response fired a pistol then took cover. A number of shots were fired by both police and the suspect however the RCMP are working to figure out the exact sequence of events. It hasn’t been determined if the suspect shot at the officers.
35-year-old Chad Ian Tomah of Woodstock First Nation has been charged with carrying a firearm for a dangerous purpose.
He’s scheduled to be back in court tomorrow for a bail hearing and more charges are expected.
