Mounties investigate alleged stabbing in Sackville

Mounties are looking for a person of interest after an alleged stabbing in Sackville.

Officers were called to a residence on Salem Street around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 7.

“The victim confronted a man who was stealing from inside of a vehicle that was parked outside of the victim’s residence,” RCMP said in a news release on Wednesday.

“A physical altercation between the man and the victim ensued, which then led to the victim being stabbed.”

The other man fled in a white SUV heading toward Queens Road before officers arrived.

Police are looking to speak to anyone with security camera or dash camera footage from the time of the incident, or who may have information that could help further the investigation.
