Motorcyclist dies after collision with moose

A man from Scoudouc, near Moncton, has died after his motorcycle collided with a moose in northeastern New Brunswick.

RCMP reported that a collision occurred on Route 11 in Bertrand around 10 p.m. on Saturday.

The 60-year-old man, who was the only rider, was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

Mounties say the moose was reportedly struck along a stretch of highway known for wildlife crossings.

No other vehicles or drivers were involved in the incident.

Police have not released any further details and are continuing their investigation into the crash.
