The 11th edition of the Mosaiq Multicultural Festival is returning to the Hub City next month.
The event takes place on July 17 and 18 in downtown Moncton and will feature international cuisine, lively entertainment from various cultures as well as kids activities.
Festival chairperson Ajit Gautam says the event gives newcomers a great opportunity to mingle with local residents.
“Gives the new immigrant an opportunity to come downtown and see others and the local people mix with others, so we exchange different cultures. That’s what makes the Mosaiq festival very unique for Moncton.”
Gautam says this festival also serves as an important tool to retain immigrants in Metro Moncton.
