Monctonians Can Drop Off Hazardous Household Waste This Week

As Monctonians continue to clean up their homes, the City is accepting hazardous household waste three days this week.

Residents can drop items off at the Kay Arena – Crossman Community Centre from 2 until 7 today at 130 Glenwood Drive.

Accepted items include but are not limited to computer monitors, propane tanks, liquids like paint, antifreeze and oil.

Other household chemicals and fluorescent light bulbs are also accepted.

Southeast Recycle recommends taking car parts directly to a scrap dealer, and taking oil tanks to Caledonia Waste Oil or Acadia Waste.

You can also take hazardous waste to tomorrow’s location at the Coliseum, or the Gorge Road parking lot at Mapleton Park on Thursday.
