Moncton Woman Facing Charges After Two Overnight Armed Robberies

A Moncton woman is under arrest and facing charges in relation to two armed robberies overnight.

Around 4:30 this morning, RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the Needs Convenience store on Mountain Road.

Then shortly after 6, police responded to a second armed robbery call, this time at the Needs Convenience on Morton Avenue.

In both instances, a woman entered the store, armed with a weapon and demanded money.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, and no one was injured in either incident.

RCMP arrested 31-year old Stephanie Fitzsimmons shortly after that.

She appeared in court today and is facing two charges of armed robbery.

Fitzsimmons returns to court July 29th.
