Moncton trail closed for a month as upgrade work begins

The Brigadier General Lockyer Trail is closed for more than a month as upgrade work gets underway near Milner Road and St. George Boulevard.

The City of Moncton says the closure began Monday and will continue until Friday, Aug. 7.

The trail will stay inaccessible to the public throughout the project.

Closure signs have been placed at entry points to show where access is blocked.

The work involves planned upgrades to the trail, and no further details have been released.

Trail users are asked to respect the closure signs and avoid entering the construction area.
