Moncton To Require Proof Of Vaccination For Public Meetings

Moncton City Council has approved a motion that requires proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for any person to attend meetings in Council Chambers in person.

The motion applies to all City Council and Committee of the Whole meetings in Council Chambers, where an option for virtual attendance can be provided.

Similar requirements have already been administered by Saint John and Fredericton City Councils, as well as the Halifax Regional Municipality.

The city administration has been directed to explore the possibility of requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for City of Moncton committees as well.
