Moncton prepares for River of Pride Parade

Love, inclusivity and community will be on display in downtown Moncton this weekend.

The annual River of Pride Parade will make its way down Main Street on Saturday afternoon.

It will start at Main Street and Foundry Street at 2 p.m. and make its way to Downing Street.

After that, there will be a market, live music and a pride concert at Riverfront Park starting at 3 p.m.

The market will run until 6 p.m., while the concert will continue until 10:30 p.m.

City officials said there will be some street closures as part of the parade.

Main Street will be closed between Bonaccord Street and Lewis Street from 1:30 until around 3 p.m.

Foundry Street from Main Street to Record Street will be closed from 11 a.m. until around 3 p.m.

And Downing Street will be shut down between Main Street and Assomption Boulevard from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
