Moncton is yet another step closer to a downtown centre after their borrowing application was approved.
The Municipal Capital Borrowing Board approved the application for 95.4 million dollars in funding.
The City won’t use all the money, but has to prove it can finance the entire project before it can go forward.
They plan to spend up to 39 million dollars of the full amount, with the rest of the money coming from the federal and provincial governments as well as fundraising and the sale of ancillary land.
