Moncton Man Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison For Attempted Murder

A 39-year-old Moncton man has been sentenced to twelve years in prison in connection with an attempted murder from 2015.

Luc Lebreton was sentenced in Moncton Provincial Court yesterday.

He had pleaded guilty to several charges including attempted murder, break and enter, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Charges were laid in November of 2015, after a home invasion in Grand Digue.

RCMP had received a complaint of a home invasion, where shots had been fired.

Lebreton is also banned from possessing firearms for ten years and is not to have contact with the victim.
