Moncton Man At Centre Of Lockdown Released

A Moncton man at the centre of a police lockdown on Monday has been released by Codiac RCMP.

Twenty-year-old Travis Squires turned himself into police Wednesday afternoon and was questioned by officers but later released.

Mounties say it’s not clear yet if any charges will be laid.

Police locked down the Rosewood Trailer Park and a section of Salisbury Road for several hours on Monday after a man reportedly fled into the woods with a firearm following an assault and damage to property.
