The only bar serving the LGBT+ community in the Greater Moncton area has closed its doors.
In a recent social media post, the owner of Pink Flamingos Lounge says the pandemic has caused great strain for the business over the last two years.
The owner says the bar was unable to keep up with all of the restrictions put in place to keep patrons safe.
Pink Flamingos Lounge opened three years ago in the same St. George Street location as Triangles, another bar which served the community for many years.
Fredericton and St. John’s, Newfoundland are now the only cities in Atlantic Canada with LGBT+ bars.
