Moncton Headstart Coats For Kids Needs Your Donations

Donations are still desperately needed to ensure kids in need have a coat this winter.

Pickups will begin next week for those who have registered for Moncton Headstart’s Coats for Kids program, beginning Tuesday November 3 to Saturday November 7.

Gently used coats, snowpants, boots, hats, mitts and scarves are needed.

Executive Director Mary O’Donnell says last year, they provided to over 700 kids, “One of the things we tend to have a shortfall on, is snowpants and boots, and probably coats for teens. We tend to get a long more coats than snowpants, and we get beautiful hats and mitts that are knit by a lot of individuals in our community. Gently used jackets are very valuable in terms of recycling them, and we appreciate that very much.”

They can be dropped off at Moncton Headstart or at one of the four major Jean Coutu locations in Greater Moncton.

If you would like to access the program, visit the Moncton Headstart Website and fill out the online registration form.

If you are unable to complete the registration form online, please call 506 858 8252 for assistance.
