Do you really know how dangerous fire can be?
The Moncton fire department has planned a demonstration with the hopes they can show you.
They’ve constructed two bedrooms, one with a sprinkler system, and the other without. Both will be set on fire.
Fire prevention officer Steve Richardson says you’ll be shocked at how quickly fire can spread..
He says, “It’s a great opportunity to witness a fire safely, and we really want to encourage people to see it, especially if you have children. It’s a living classroom.”
The burn will be done in the Moncton Coliseum parking lot. It’ll get underway at 6pm tonight.
